I can’t stop feeling the experience and thinking about how to improve it 💡

I’m constantly pondering things and designs in front of me: Can I improve the efficiency of this assignment? How to design it better? Just like the Design of Everyday Things💡 by Norman, Don

When I explore human-computer interaction at Georgia Tech in greater depth, I gain a more organized approach with practical skills. This allows me to apply design principles, together with my knowledge of human perception, cognitive science, and engineering to the topic more effectively.

I’m fascinated with our interactions in the digital space and physical world! Now I still think about these questions in my daily life: 💡How to make this gaming interface so natural like it’s invisible, so gamers can navigate the characters without interruption and enjoy the gaming experience?

💡How to design the retail webspace to present the best-selling items and be visually attractive at the same time?

💡How to narrow down the gap of execution in educational software so children at all levels of technical knowledge can explore it fearlessly.

💡How to create a good feedback system in an AR/ MR environment?

💡How to make the interface of FinTech apps do the teaching so that novice users can have an equivalent user experience as expert users.

💡How to redesign the Goole Home app to provide better affordance and representations that we are familiar with, so we can tell where went wrong and how to fix it.

💡How to design the checkout flow with a less annoying process, reduce the abandon rate, and reward shoppers right with behavioral techniques.

I also have an educational background in visual design and UX design. With more than 7 years of experience in the complete design process, from conceptualization to delivery. I'm passionate about designing solutions that meet needs and leverage data to create delightful and functional products that balance company goals, design cohesion, and feasible implementation.

I'm also a developer with an understanding of a wide range of technologies, including Swift, JAVA, JavaScript with AEM, HTML/CSS, JSON, and Responsive/Adaptive Design. I developed my personal iOS App: PurrfectPix, from scratch to launch at Apple App Store. I enjoy trying out different programming approaches to find the balance between design patterns, development efficiency, and app/website performance.

My diverse UX design and development skills enable me to create user-friendly experiences tailored to users' needs. Understanding the constraints and boundaries of both sides, allows me to create realistic designs and turn ideas into results that exceed expectations. This expertise also facilitates effective communication between designers and engineers, as it requires both to share their knowledge and experience. My skills make the design and development processes smoother and more efficient, resulting in high-quality digital products that meet both business and user needs.

Apart from design and programming, I'm passionate about nature; from hiking in the wilderness to admiring picturesque views beside the water. I love spending time with my cats and doing yoga and pilates to keep my mind and body balanced. I'm a lifelong learner and always strive to stay informed and hone my abilities. Recently, I've been flying drones, participating in the IDEO.org community to address global social issues through human-centered design, and exploring Seattle as a new resident!
